Matthew comes from a financial advisory and capital markets background with a focus on maritime transportation and offshore energy, starting in the investment banking department of Jefferies, followed by Clarkson Platou Markets and Arctic Securities, where he led the New York office.

Kane has more than 20 years of offshore industry experience with international business, marketing, and contracting responsibilities. Recognised for identifying and capturing major customers in global environments. Knowledgeable in all areas of the upstream value chain and highly developed personal network across oil and gas companies and the service sectors.

As Head of Corporate Strategy & Partnerships at Stepwise, Per-Robert is dedicated to shaping the company’s long-term strategy, cultivating impactful alliances, and ensuring the organisation attracts and retains top talent. His focus lies in securing the resources necessary to realise Stepwise’s ambitious goals and driving its vision of achieving Net Zero in the energy sector.
With over 20 years of experience in the capital markets and a deep focus on the energy sector, Per-Robert’s leadership blends strategic insight with operational expertise. As a graduate of the BI Norwegian School of Management with a Master of Business and Economics, he continues to leverage his financial and managerial acumen to support Stepwise’s growth journey.
Transitioning from Chairman of the Board to a hands-on executive role, Per-Robert now works closely with the executive team, the board, and key stakeholders to unlock the full potential of Stepwise’s pioneering solutions in emissions management.

As CFO of Stepwise, Magnus's primary focus is on building a robust and sustainable finance function. This involves establishing strong financial foundations and systems that support scalable growth enable Stepwise meet our goals.
His tasks include financial reporting and planning, managing risks, ensuring compliance, and overseeing the cash flow and capital structure. All while maintaining close communication with investors and other stakeholders such as the Board of Directors or financial institutions. He works closely with the team to shape the company’s strategy and to identify opportunities for expansion and efficiency in the organisation.

A seasoned leader with deep experience in the intersection of technology, consultancy, and leadership, Thomas has held various senior roles, including managing NOV’s global automation portfolio and directing business development in advanced technology sectors. He is passionate about leveraging technology to enable teams, optimise processes, and deliver impactful solutions.
With a career spanning over two decades, Thomas has guided teams across diverse industries, including oil and gas, focusing on creating value through innovation and collaboration. His background as a consultant shaped his belief that “no one is as smart as all of us,” driving his approach to teamwork and strategic problem-solving. Thomas’s diverse expertise includes digital transformation, product and service development, and sustainable business practices.
Thomas holds a degree in Informatics and Mathematical Methods from the University of Agder. His mission at Stepwise is to unite technology and people to deliver sustainable solutions and lasting value.

As a Head of Product, Anders has the responsibility to oversee and manage product development at Stepwise.
An industrial designer and project manager with extensive experience within digitalisation in the oil & gas industry. Second in command for Equinor's mobile new builds group during construction of 10 mobile newbuilds, a complex project portfolio with split location and cross-disciplinary teams. Lots of offshore experience from platforms and vessels. Digitalisation advisor, former design director for a design consultancy and agile coach to several operators to create future oriented software solutions.

Narve is a seasoned technology leader with over three decades of experience in software engineering, digital transformation, and maritime technology. As Chief Technology Officer at Stepwise, he is responsible for driving the strategic direction of the company’s technology ecosystem, overseeing the development and continuous enhancement of its SaaS platform, and ensuring seamless API integrations, rigorous testing, and robust cybersecurity measures. His leadership extends to innovation in energy management solutions, enabling Stepwise to deliver cutting-edge, scalable, and efficient digital tools for emission reduction.
Throughout his career, Narve has held key roles as a technology specialist, digital manager, and senior software engineer, with extensive experience in HMI, data management, and cybersecurity within DevOps environments. He has worked with industry leaders such as Cameron and NOV, shaping technological advancements in offshore energy operations. His expertise is sought after by major clients, including Equinor, Petrobras, OceanRig, Maersk, and Saipem.

As our Chief Design Officer, Nick is responsible for the coordination and implementation of design projects within Stepwise with specific focus on the UX, UI and communications for the product.
Nick is a UX designer with 20+ years experience within digitalization, and design driven transformation. Holds a bachelor of design in Industrial Design and a Master of Science in Computing & Design.
Most recent experience as a UX designer & agile scrum master in Aker BP’s digitialization program maturing several MVP products with design lead and project management responsibilities.

An engineer with a Master’s degree in Manufacturing Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Oda has several years of experience with software product development and automation from National Oilwell Varco. She has held the role as an Integrations Lead and Project Manager for automation programs and complex drilling systems. Oda is also experienced in the digitalization domain and has gained a comprehensive knowledge of drilling automation, optimization, performance analysis and production line efficiency analysis.

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) with 20 years of experience and expertise in managing, designing, implementing, and troubleshooting information security programs including network infrastructure, applications and Information Security architectures. Proven record of evaluating system vulnerabilities in order to recommend security improvements as well as improve efficiency while aligning business processes with network design and infrastructure. Superior capacity to solve complex problems involving a wide variety of information systems and compliance, work independently on large-scale projects, and thrive under pressure in fast-pace environments while directing multiple projects from concept to implementation.

Pål Erik serves as an engineering advisor and project manager within Stepwise, bringing extensive experience from key technical roles in the oil and gas industry, including Project Manager, Commissioning Manager, Hull Manager, and Technical Section Leader. His expertise spans from early-phase studies to the operation of mobile new builds. Pål Erik has supported numerous new builds during construction in Asia and Norway, and has overseen the Operation Preparations processes for their entry into the NCS.
He possesses strong hands-on knowledge from his positions as Chief and Mechanical Engineer on various vessels, including Semi-submersibles, Jack-ups, RLWI, AHTS, MPSV, and fishing vessels. Pål Erik is an STCW Certified Chief Engineer and holds a professional certificate as a mechanic. He has completed several courses, such as High Voltage and ERM according to STCW, in addition to leadership training.

Sølve Solheim is a seasoned full-stack developer with over 15 years of experience in software engineering and IT consulting. His expertise spans a wide range of technologies, including .NET Core, C#, Docker, Kubernetes, and Microsoft Azure. Sølve brings a wealth of knowledge in system architecture, microservices, and infrastructure as code (IaC) to his role at Stepwise.
In his capacity as a full-stack developer, Sølve has collaborated with major players in the energy sector, including Cameron SLB and Kongsberg Intellifield. His diverse background includes roles as a Senior Full-stack Software Developer at NODES-tech AS and as a System Architect/Project Manager at IConsultable, where he honed his skills in project management and technical leadership.
Sølve's proficiency in both front-end and back-end development, coupled with his experience in the oil and gas industry, makes him a valuable asset to Stepwise's development team. His expertise in security, Grafana, and TimescaleDB further enhances his ability to deliver robust and scalable solutions for complex engineering challenges.

Erik Haug is a seasoned full-stack developer with a strong proficiency in .NET, complemented by a background in computer science and petroleum engineering. Erik is a full-stack engineer serving Stepwise as an integrations level expert.
In his capacity as a consultant, Erik has collaborated with E&P majors such as ConocoPhillips, Equinor, and Talisman Energy, bringing his expertise to the table.
Bergtor has over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, specialising in control and HMI system development, drilling equipment systems, and drilling process control. As Project Manager & SME at Stepwise, he is responsible for managing complex projects, integrating advanced technologies, and ensuring structured product development in global energy operations.
His international experience spans technology development, manufacturing, and drilling process optimisation, with a strong track record in project management across all stages of drilling packages. Bergtor has also held senior roles in international sales and technical leadership, driving innovation and efficiency in offshore operations.

With over 10 years of experience managing overhaul projects for various drilling equipment, Morten Skeie brings extensive expertise in delivering projects within tight schedules and high expectations. He has held key roles as a project manager at Enerquip AS and Tratec Offshore Solutions, where he was responsible for managing new contracts and ensuring seamless project execution. Additionally, Morten worked as a Design Engineer at National Oilwell Varco (NOV), contributing to equipment design.
Morten excels at problem-solving and is dedicated to meeting clients’ technical requirements while adhering to budget constraints. His strong focus on understanding the complete package before startup ensures efficient project and design execution.
At Stepwise Morten will ensure that the customers are easily onboarded and delighted by our software, and to provide continuous support and advice on how to manage their ambitions for emission reductions.

Geir Ove Skaar brings over three decades of global experience in the oil and gas industry, specialising in offshore rig operations, project execution, and strategic development. As a Co-Founder and Advisor at Stepwise, he plays a key role in shaping the company’s strategic direction, guiding innovation in emissions management, and providing industry-leading insights to clients and partners.
Prior to joining Stepwise, Geir Ove spent 22 years at Equinor, where he served as Vice President for the offshore mobile rig business unit. In this role, he was responsible for delivering 17 new-build projects and overseeing more than 45 rig intakes, significantly advancing operational efficiency and offshore asset management. He has also held senior management positions at Smedvig and Odfjell Drilling, building extensive expertise in offshore drilling operations, contracting strategies, and technology adoption.
At Stepwise, Geir Ove leverages his deep industry experience to advise on market positioning, business development, and the integration of digital solutions that drive efficiency and emission reduction. Martin a designer who loves the combination of solving problems and building beautiful solutions. His passion revolves around creating value for users and stakeholders through insight and exploration. He enjoy being part of the early process to understand the challenge and to influence the direction. Also, being part of the implementation is crucial for a good end result and feels lucky when he can nerd out on details together with developers.
During the past six years he hasworked as product designer in Oslo, primarily building “Styrerommet” for OBOS – making life easier for board members in housing companies.
Outside of work he like to hang with his kids, explore Stavanger and try to learn the piano.
As the development project manager with Milo Solutions, Anastasiia is responsible for coordinating the dev team’s activities, assigns tasks to dev members, and ensures the project is completed on time and within budget. In addition, he manages the agile backlog for the team.
Anastasiia has a passion for fostering team dynamics and optimising development processes. Her career path has been marked by a commitment to improving the intersection of people and processes, resulting in more cohesive teams and streamlined workflows.

Anders has held prominent roles at leading organisations, including Kongsberg, DNB Markets, Platou Markets, Selmer AS, and Arkwright Consulting. His diverse expertise spans Corporate Development, Strategy, M&A, Digitalisation, and Investments. Career highlights include leading the integration of Rolls-Royce Commercial Marine at Kongsberg Group and serving as Executive Vice President at Kongsberg Discovery.
Beyond his corporate achievements, Anders is an active business angel, deeply engaged in the tech start-up and venture capital ecosystem. His strategic insight, robust network, and commitment to innovation are instrumental in securing partnerships, attracting investment, and driving Stepwise’s ambitious growth and sustainability objectives.
As a Director Birgitte provides leadership and guidance and assists with the overall strategy and vision for Stepwise.
Birgitte holds a position as a partner in Eltek Holding, she is currently an advisor to companies and key stakeholders in the companies owned by Eltek Holding. She has worked for more than 25 years in consulting. Has acted as a senior advisor across industries in Business Development, Digitalisation, Branding, Design, People and Organisation. Her last role in Consulting was as CEO. Broad board experience from both listed companies and start-ups.
As a CFO and an investment professional Ane brings unique financial acumen to her role as Director of the Board.
Experienced Board Member and Senior Investment Professional with a particular focus on distressed companies / restructuring. Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Finance from The Sauder School of Business at University of British Columbia and a Leslie Wong Fellow with the UBC Portfolio Management Foundation.
Georges brings over two decades of rich experience in institutional investment and corporate governance, which will be invaluable as we navigate our next growth phase.
Georges spent 20 years at The Capital Group, as a Senior Partner. Capital Group is one of the largest asset management firms globally, with over $2 trillion under management. There, he oversaw a multi-trillion dollar portfolio of equity and convertible investments focused on Telecom, Media, Technology (TMT), Energy, Shipping, and Hospitality. His deep understanding of these industries and his strategic acumen will provide us with critical insights as we expand Stepwise’s reach in emissions management.
In addition to his impressive career as an institutional investor, Georges has also been an active non-executive director since 2019. Notably, he served on the Board of Valaris, a large offshore drilling company, where he played a key role in navigating challenging negotiations with stakeholders during the pandemic. He also serves on private and public boards, including roles in tech and energy sectors, and is on the investment committees of a tech-focused private equity fund and the HEC Paris Foundation Investment Committee.
