Tell us about Narve

Hey everyone, I'm Narve, a 51-year-old engineer living the good life in the picturesque town of Vennesla, Norway. My world revolves around not just pushing the digitalization process at Stepwise.

When I'm not immersed in the tech world, you'll find me playing saxophone in genres ranging from jazz to pop, RnB to rock. I enjoy playing in different bands as part of the horn section or as a soloist. But my greatest joy is when I'm at home with my amazing wife, Ellen-Britt, and our three kids, Anna Elise, Herman, and Adele, who happen to be the energetic twins. Weekends are our escape to our cabin by the sea in Mandal, where we fish, laugh, and create memories that last a lifetime.

Beyond the music and family, I'm deeply engaged as a volunteer in our local handball club. Currently, I'm serving on the board, actively participating in a committee that allows me to give back to the community, which means so much to me.

Why did you join Stepwise?

Having spent three decades immersed in the digitalization of the oil and gas industry. My choice to join Stepwise is driven by a simple vision — the digitalization of the industry for carbon emission reduction.

This transition from a conventional sector to a technology-driven environment underscores my dedication to making a positive impact on the future of our world. I see clear potential in pushing the boundaries of technology and development advancement in this area.

What’s your focus in Stepwise?

Within Stepwise, I find myself at the forefront of integration. My work focuses on bridging data collection from multiple third-party sources to provide Stepwise clients with high-quality emission-related data. My role goes beyond internal operations as I actively drive the advancement of automated API data flows.
