Georges Lambert joins the Stepwise Board of Directors
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Georges Lambert as a new Director on the Board of Stepwise. Georges brings over two decades of rich experience in institutional investment and corporate governance, which will be invaluable as we navigate our next growth phase.
Georges spent 20 years at The Capital Group, as a SeniorPartner. Capital Group is one of the largest asset management firms globally, with over $2 trillion under management. There, he oversaw a multi-trillion dollar portfolio of equity and convertible investments focused on Telecom, Media, Technology (TMT), Energy, Shipping, and Hospitality. His deep understanding of these industries and his strategic acumen will provide us with critical insights as we expand Stepwise’s reach in emissions management.
In addition to his impressive career as an institutional investor, Georges has also been an active non-executive director since 2019. Notably, he served on the Board of Valaris, a large offshore drilling company, where he played a key role in navigating challenging negotiations with stakeholders during the pandemic. He also serves on private and public boards, including roles in tech and energy sectors, and is on the investment committees of a tech-focused private equity fund and the HEC Paris Foundation Investment Committee.
In his own word, Georges stated:
Stepwise has set itself a mission that will both contribute to decarbonizing the Oil & Gas industry and help producers’ bottom line: it is rare that doing good meets doing well. I am excited to contribute to the growth of the company, focusing on strengthening the team and exploring new areas of opportunity.
Georges’ background in corporate governance, coupled with his commitment to sustainability and charitable initiatives, aligns well with our mission and values at Stepwise. Please join us in welcoming Georges to our team, as we look forward to his contributions and insights in our journey ahead.
